Our Location:
The Handy Village Institute is located near Saxapahaw, NC. We are on the border between the Triad and Triangle regions of Piedmont North Carolina, and are approximately equidistant from Raleigh and Greensboro and their respective airports (about 50 minutes to either RDU or GSO). A restored former textile mill in the village of Saxapahaw offers additional accommodation, restaurants and catering services, as well as several shops and entertainment venues along the Haw River. Saxapahaw has garnered national and international attention for its involvement in the local and slow food movements, its local puppet theater company, and for hosting conferences and live performances.
